The enigmatic new Defence Against the Dark Arts professor who seems to know more about forbidden magic than he lets on. His lessons hint at deeper knowledge Seraphina desperately needs.
Appearance
Professor Aldric Thorne is a tall, angular man with prematurely silver hair swept back from a high forehead, and deep-set grey eyes that carry the permanent shadow of sleeplessness. He wears impeccably tailored black robes with subtle silver embroidery along the high collar and cuffs, always fastened with a single obsidian brooch. A faded, jagged scar peeks above his collar on the left side of his throat, and his long fingers are often faintly stained with ink and what looks like old burn marks.
