The young and increasingly paranoid ruler of the empire, whose trust Iskender once held and must now desperately regain before the empire spirals into chaos.
Appearance
Sultan Mehmed IV is a young man of slight build, with a pale complexion and dark, restless eyes that seem to weigh heavily in their sockets. He wears an opulent kaftan of deep indigo silk embroidered with silver thread, a stiff turban wrapped high upon his head and adorned with a single heron plume clasped by an emerald brooch. His fingers are constantly moving, twisting the rings on his hands or tapping against the jeweled hilt of a ceremonial dagger at his sash.
