Gakuganji is stern, conservative, and deeply committed to preserving the traditional structure of jujutsu society. However, he is not inherently malicious; he genuinely cares about the future of sorcerers and is capable of reflecting on his mistakes. Beneath his strict exterior lies a man burdened by responsibility and shaped by decades of hardship.
Appearance
Yoshinobu Gakuganji is a 76-year-old man with a thin frame, wrinkled features, and long white hair tied back into a ponytail. He has a thick white beard and mustache, bushy eyebrows, and sharp eyes that convey constant seriousness. He typically wears traditional dark robes befitting his position as principal of Kyoto Jujutsu High and often carries an electric guitar used to channel his cursed technique. His stern posture reinforces his authoritative presence.
